— What we address

A clinical, respectful approach

Adult circumcision is requested for a wide range of reasons — medical, hygiene-related, cultural, or personal. Your doctor's role is to assess suitability, explain the procedure and recovery clearly, and plan it in a way that fits your life.

  • Recurrent foreskin infections or phimosis
  • Hygiene or discomfort related to the foreskin
  • Personal or cultural reasons for adult circumcision
  • Revision or medical review of previous circumcision

— How it works

Your consultation pathway

Pre-operative consultation

Medical history, focused examination, and a clear discussion of technique, risks, and recovery expectations.

Procedure planning

Your doctor confirms timing, anaesthesia, technique, and what to prepare around your work or personal schedule.

Procedure day

Performed under appropriate anaesthesia in a sterile clinical environment with a focus on comfort and safety.

Aftercare & follow-up

Wound care instructions, pain management plan, and scheduled reviews to monitor healing.

Who it may suit

  • ·Adult men in suitable general health for a minor surgical procedure
  • ·Patients with a clear medical or personal reason discussed with their doctor
  • ·Those able to follow post-operative care instructions and rest as advised
  • ·Individuals seeking hospital-grade standards in a private clinic setting

What to expect

The procedure typically takes under an hour. Local anaesthesia is used for comfort. Swelling, mild discomfort, and bruising are expected during the first week. Most men can return to desk work within a few days; strenuous activity and sexual activity are restricted for several weeks. Full healing typically takes 4–6 weeks. Your doctor will provide detailed aftercare and activity restrictions specific to your case.

Circumcision consultations and procedures are handled with full discretion. Bookings, examinations, and follow-ups are managed privately by your care team.

Realistic expectations

  • Recovery is not instant — most men need several weeks before resuming all activities.
  • Swelling, mild bruising, and discomfort in the first 1–2 weeks are expected and not a sign of a problem.
  • Following the aftercare plan materially affects healing — shortcuts often delay recovery.
  • Final cosmetic and functional outcome may take weeks to settle.

— Recovery

What to expect after circumcision

Recovery varies by individual, treatment intensity, and aftercare adherence. This is a general guide — your doctor will provide specific instructions.

  1. Day 1–3

Swelling, bruising, and discomfort are expected. Rest is important. Pain is managed with prescribed analgesia. Keep the area clean and dry as advised.

  2. Day 4–7

Discomfort gradually reduces. Most men return to desk work. Avoid strenuous activity, heat, and tight clothing.

  3. Week 2–3

Healing visibly progresses. Stitches (if used) typically dissolve or are removed at follow-up. Continue gentle care.

  4. Week 4–6

Final healing completes. Sexual activity and strenuous exercise are usually resumed as directed by your surgeon.

Your doctor will provide a tailored aftercare guide. If you have questions about downtime or planning around an event, ask during your consultation.

— Doctor-led private care

Private, doctor-led men's wellness planning

Men's wellness consultations are confidential and judgement-free. Your doctor's role is to map the cause, explain options honestly, and only recommend treatment when it is medically appropriate — not to push a product.

Adult circumcision should be planned, not rushed. Suitability, technique, recovery timing, and aftercare all matter — and your doctor will plan them around your specific medical context and lifestyle.

Consultations are led by Dr Kenneth Lee (The Collagen Doc®), whose clinical interest in skin regeneration and collagen-focused care guides treatment planning at DrPlus.
