— Who this page is for
Who this page is for
This guide explains when the treatment may be considered and what a consultation covers. Suitability can only be confirmed after a doctor assesses your concern and medical history.
Selected mixed acne scars
RF microneedling may support collagen remodelling where scar type and depth are suitable.
Uneven texture or enlarged-looking pores
The treatment may be considered when the concern involves dermal texture rather than pigment alone.
Seeking less surface recovery than ablative laser
Surface downtime is often shorter than fractional CO₂, although redness and swelling can still occur.
Able to commit to a staged plan
Collagen change is gradual and treatment commonly involves a series rather than an immediate result.
— What this involves
What RF Microneedling (Singapore) involves
RF microneedling places fine needles at controlled depths and delivers radiofrequency energy in the dermis. The controlled injury initiates a gradual collagen-remodelling response.
Needle depth and energy must be selected for skin thickness, scar pattern and pigmentation risk. Active infection, inflamed acne and some medical conditions may require treatment to be postponed or avoided.
Topical numbing is normally used. Temporary redness, swelling, pinpoint marks and tenderness may occur. Results vary and develop gradually over the weeks following treatment.
— Why DrPlus
How care is planned at DrPlus Singapore
Treatment begins with assessment, informed consent and a clear discussion of limitations, risks and aftercare.
A physician reviews suitability and explains reasonable alternatives before treatment is planned.
Technique, intensity and session timing are selected for the individual concern rather than applied as a fixed package.
Expected reactions, less-common risks, aftercare and reasons to contact the clinic are discussed before you decide.
Consultations are available at SBF Center in Tanjong Pagar and The Flow Mall at East Coast.

Common questions
No. Both use controlled needles, but RF microneedling also delivers radiofrequency energy at selected depths. This changes the tissue effect, settings and risk considerations.
Many plans involve a series, but the number and spacing depend on the concern, settings and response. Your doctor will recommend a plan only after assessment.
It may be suitable when settings and aftercare are selected carefully, but pigmentation risk is not zero. Skin type and any history of post-inflammatory pigmentation should be discussed first.
Pricing depends on treatment area, settings and session plan. A written quote is provided after consultation, with no obligation to proceed.
